Long, lazy breakfasts are a time-honoured Dartmouth tradition, and the Bayards Vegan Breakfast - mushrooms, grilled tomato, sautéed potatoes, spinach, baked beans, avocado and toasted sourdough - is a must for vegans.
The menu also includes Asian style marinated tempeh and sesame noodles. This is made with vegan friendly tempeh, a traditional Indonesian food made of cooked and fermented soybeans. It’s described as having an earthy, mushroomy taste. The linguine puttanesca is also very popular, while for burger lovers, the Portobello mushroom burger, ticks all the boxes.
Meat and fish eaters are also well catered for, with fish landed locally and meat raised and grazed on the Devon hillsides.
