Our new spring menus are seasonal and local with an emphasis on fresh fish landed daily in the famous port of Dartmouth with something for every palette and appetite.
Sandwiches and toasties created with bread from Dartmouth Bakery are filling and delicious with choices including Tracy’s Handpicked Dartmouth Crab.
Some might say that a bowl of fresh salad is one of the more satisfying daytime meals when spring arrives, and here there’s Southern Fried Smoked Tofu Salad, a popular choice among vegans, or you might prefer crab, grilled goats cheese and onion marmalade or tomato, mozzarella and red pesto.
Sometimes more is needed than a light bite, especially if a walk around the coast path beckons. Bayards burgers are renowned, and there are plenty to choose from, including a classic Elston Farm 6oz beef and bone marrow burger, served with smoked bacon, cheddar and Bayards burger sauce.
Elston Farm lamb koftas, Westcountry mussels, crispy squid, a traditional ploughman piled high with chutneys, sourdough and cheeses are all on the menu. Lunch is served from noon until 3pm, with a choice of seating from high stools, to tables to comfy sofas beside the fire for more chilly spring days.
We serve snacks all day and coffee, made with beans roasted by Voyager at Buckfastleigh, and a huge slice or cake are the stuff of Dartmouth tradition - there’s a variety to choose from.
Tucking into a slice of cake, or devouring a traditional Devon cream tea is the perfect conclusion to a day spend discovering Dartmouth.
